About us
Family-owned ragdoll kitten placement program serving families throughout Florida since 2001.
Our approach
Our kittens are raised in a loving home. They're handled daily, socialized around regular household life, and cared for closely from the time they're born.
We keep things intentionally small so that every kitten gets real attention and every family gets real communication throughout the process.
Most of our families come from referrals and repeat adopters. That means more to us than anything else.
What you can expect
We've placed kittens with hundreds of families across Florida. Here's what every adoption includes.
Our families
We don't advertise heavily. The families we've placed over the years send us their friends, their siblings, their coworkers — people who've seen firsthand how a Gulf Coast ragdoll fits into a home.
That kind of trust is something we take seriously. It's why we stay small, stay personal, and never rush a placement.
About the breed
With their soft coats, easygoing temperaments, and loving personalities, ragdolls make incredible companions for families, couples, and first-time cat owners alike.
Temperament
Ragdolls are known for being social, relaxed, and deeply people-oriented. Many follow their owners from room to room — not demanding attention, just quietly present. They get their name from their tendency to go completely limp when picked up.
What makes them truly special isn't any one trait. It's how connected they tend to be with the people in their lives.
The ragdoll name
The breed gets its name from their tendency to completely relax when picked up — going soft and floppy. It's one of those things you have to experience to fully appreciate.
Some love being carried around all day. Others simply prefer curling up beside you on the couch. Either way, they want to be near their people.
Multi-cat households
Ragdolls are known for their gentle, non-confrontational personalities — which makes them a natural fit in multi-cat homes. They tend to be relaxed about introductions and rarely start conflict.
Proper slow introductions always make a difference, but ragdolls are generally one of the easier breeds to bring into an existing household.
Living with a ragdoll
Easier than people expect, and more rewarding than most breeds.
Indoor living
Because of their trusting, gentle nature, ragdolls aren't well suited for unsupervised outdoor life. They thrive indoors with enrichment, companionship, and space to explore at their own pace.
Ragdolls do shed, especially seasonally. No cat breed is truly hypoallergenic, but some people find ragdolls easier to live with because their coats are softer and less dense than other long-haired breeds.
Ragdolls are best suited for people looking for an indoor companion — social, affectionate, calm, and adaptable. They thrive in homes where they get regular attention and companionship.
A great fit for
Their gentle personalities and adaptable nature make them one of the most universally beloved breeds.
